One thing I know for sure is that if you plan on winning in your Breast Cancer journey, you need a great support system. Not just any support system, you need someone who has been in your shoes or are currently in your shoes. Someone who understands your fears, your wins, and your anger. Someone who faces similar challenges. Don’t misunderstand, support from outsiders is crucial, but there is nothing like support from someone who truly understands through their own experience. This is why I treasure Breast Cancer support groups. Breast cancer support groups are so helpful! If you have a late-night fear, question, or concern, you can present it in the group and more than likely someone has been through it or can relate.

I believe that knowledge is power and it’s important to pass on any information that could potentially save a life.

That being said, today, I will share with you my favorite Breast Cancer support groups:

Facebook group

Support group for young women of color who have been affected by breast cancer. A place where survivors, fighters, and thrivers can connect, share experiences, ask questions, and get support. An online platform that allows you to meet and connect with young Breast Cancer patients and survivors.

 

For The Breast Of Us:

An online Breast Cancer community for young women of color

 

The Breasties:

A non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young women affected by breast and reproductive cancers through community and friendship

 

Breast Cancer Healthline App :

A social community support chat where Breast Cancer patients can connect with other Breast Cancer patients

Living Beyond Breast Cancer:

Nonprofit organization providing trusted information and a community of support to all impacted by Breast Cancer.

Blossoming Butterfly:

A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional and financial support to families who are out of work due to their battle with Breast Cancer.


Shay Sharpe’s Pink Wishes:

A nonprofit organization that educates, advocates, and grants wishes to young women affected by Breast Cancer.

Tigerlily Foundation:

A non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, advocate, support, and empower young women with Breast Cancer.


Charge Up Campaign:

A non-profit organization supporting cancer survivors and caregivers faced with health, social, and economic issues.

Non-profit organization committed to increasing national attention to the devastating impact that Breast Cancer has in the African American community.
