Inspired by her diagnosis to turn her tragedy into purpose, Marquita Goodluck has dedicated her life, to being a resource for Breast Cancer patients. From the start of her journey, Marquita knew that she would use her experience to help others. Marquita is the author of a Children and adult book for Breast Cancer patients and their families. In both of her books, titled “ BK’s Mommy Has Breast Cancer!” and “Cry, Learn, Adjust, Fight, and Repeat!” She offers advice, hope, tips, and insight to those facing a Breast Cancer diagnosis.
Not only an author, but also a change agent. Marquita is a patient advocate with Young survival Coalition, Tiger Lily Foundation, and Know Your Lemons. Marquita believes no one should ever fight alone. Her goal is to be a resource for women facing a Breast Cancer diagnosis. She is motivated to use this opportunity to not only increase awareness of Breast Cancer for young women but for young women of color who face different obstacles and challenges when diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Marquita uses her skills and experience, to speak with lawmakers on Capitol hill, Consult with doctors on the latest Breast Cancer advancements, and to offer support to her Facebook breast Cancer book : Young Black women fighting and surviving Breast Cancer.
Being diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the age of 35, Marquita was motivated to create clean beauty products that were rewarding as well as free from toxins. Along with her two daughters, Marquita created recipes to combat the many unwanted side effects of Chemo & Radiation. Her bestseller, the Radiation Kit & Radiation cream, has helped countless women deal with the harsh effects of a radiation burn. Understanding the importance of clean beauty products she decided to create products that were not only beneficial to those affected by Breast Cancer, but for everyone.
Marquita has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science & International relations from Morgan State University, a Paralegal certificate from Georgetown University, A Cannabis Science Certificate from Maryland Integrative University of Health and a Master’s in Management with a concentration in Public Relations from the University of Maryland.
